Aaahg! My eyes!

So what's it like? Is 800x480 enough to do useful work?

You don't always have to have that dual montior display with more pixels than you can shake a stick at md.

You know, sometimes I use my laptop; and it's only 1024x768. 'Course when I use my laptop getting things done takes longer...

Oh, and I saw a nice 30" LCD at costco today... me want!

Define useful work. Lots of photo editing, or manipulating a giant spreadsheet... it'd fall short, but for other things, it isn't a huge problem.

I only use my laptop, its a 14 inch screen at 1280x800

its where I get all my work done!
Although until I bought this laptop I was running 1024x768

I hate big monitors...its like spoiling yourself!

OMG, that's awesome. I have one too, only I put Xubuntu on it. It runs beutifully, but there are a few bugs and annoyances like having to use ndiswrapper for the time being. (There is going to be an open one in December, the last time I checked.) For the price, it's definatly worth it.

I can finally take a machine everywhere with me. Literally. It fits in my winter coat pocket!

Under GPL you have to give the code back to the linux comunity if you modfiy it at all. Like you have to post it for free to download.

However ASUS modifys GPL code for this laptop and does not post it anywhere or respond to peoleop asking for it.

Just google "eee gpl" for more info.
