Hello,
I need help deciding which logo is best, thanks for your help. Its for a software company, mainly I do projects for medium sized companies, mostly greenhouses, also make facebook apps for different clients. Post your reply with the number you like, it won't let me make a poll with that many options.

Neither works, looks like a server issue.
Also, what kind of stuff do you do for greenhouses? Inquiring minds want to know!

The second one works now, and though they are all good, I especially liked the top-right one.

Pretty much mainly a system for keeping track of invoices/customers/orders/products(inventory).
Most of the time its just copy and paste code from one server to another, and modify it a little to suit their specific needs.
Last greenhouse's system was modified to allow they're shipping department to print barcodes automatically for the plants from the website. (They'd look up an order, hit print, and it would print to there barcode printer the correct barcode/quantity for each plant in the order)
Right now I'm in the middle of rewritting it because I wasn't too happy with how I did things (originally it started out as a very small and unplanned project that just grew and grew until it's where it is now, and it looks very very ugly) This time around theres been some planning about how things should work, naming conventions etc, but its taking a long time to finish (school's getting in the way, as well as my other job)
Amoung other things I'm working on, is a facebook application that will allow me (and others at my school) to check our badger account (school email account) directly from our facebook profiles....I got sick of my schools stupid webmail, and they force all emails to be sent to that address (were not allowed to use personal addresses), and they don't allow us to forward email from our badger account to our normal account.....so basically emails go missed because no one checks the badger account. People who aren't us wouldn't be able to see the emails in the profile, they'd just see a link saying Add the application etc...

I vote for #4

I agree, number 4. It seems like the cleanest and most compact without being uninteresting (if that makes any sense). I didn't really like the cartoonish look of 1-3. 9 looks like a pair of weird eyes, and 10 looks like an angry eye. 12 looks... inappropriate.
The rest seem either boring, busy, or big. 15 looked sort of interesting with the magnifying glass, but I don't dig the serif font.
I'm no expert of graphic design, that's just what I feel. I hope it can help you out.

I'll join the bandwagon, in favour of #4.
It's quite a variety in there though. Did you have someone make all those alternatives?

If the glass on #2 was orange like the A in #1, I'd say that one. However, it isn't, so I'll say #6 because it looks nice :p

the magnifying glass idea is great, maybe you could work with that more. As for now, it's #4.

I'm at a tossup between #4 and #14.
I'm not a huge fan of the magnifying glass because it seems almost too obvious, and that it seems like i've seen that type of logo too many times. Some of the other logos have a design that i feel is too big for it, and takes away from the name a little bit.
I'm a huge fan of green, which is why i lean towards #4 more, but i think if some green was thrown into #14 (maybe no grey all green, or a touch of grey) it would win my vote. Or maybe even orange instead of the grey, that would look nice as well,

I like 9 a lot, but 4 is very good too. 1 through 3 look too much like the Google Code Search logo.

Change my opinion from the top-right to 14. It's concise and professional, and what's more, rectangular. The later ones aren't to good because they warped the simple and organized shape the logo should maintain. The grey of #14 makes it more professional and business-like while it is still visually appealing.
