Looks like another filter from photo shop. As for the uses there might be many if you read up on DCT. Its a mathematically formula thats used for compressing images. If i remember right it gets the frequency of the pixel with respect to the block it in. This is used to cut higher frequencies that aren't noticeable then compress the image. I know some people in my class that used it to do do some cool effects. You might want to look into it. Wink
