Imagine a world where DRM actually works perfectly, and no longer are you able to pirate your movies, or even rip your HD DVDs/BluRay disks/whatever. In fact, disks don't even exist any more. What would you find the more ideal way to get your content? This pertains to movies only.

I believe $20 per movie without DRM would be reasonable. It would cost about that for a DVD, plus I could watch it on something other than Windows. Many users are also hooking their computers up to their TVs as well, making these movies easier to watch on the TV too (think XMBC).

I trust this is thanks to BitTorrent finally offering legal movie and TV show downloads for $2-4 each?

I think the $40/month idea is a solid idea, if you have the download capabilities to handle it. Otherwise, $20 for a movie download seems reasonable.

I vote none of the above. I'd be willing to pay $5 for a DRM free movie; which is the cost of renting a DVD and ripping it to my computer.

I am not willing to spend money on anything with DRM, as DRM only serves to take away my rights.

Of course... I am not very likely to buy any movies right now as there are so few that are actually good...

So md, what would you do instead? In my imaginary world, your only other options would be the theatre and not watching movies.
