what do you think is better? This is not about operating systems. This is about the computer in general.
Me, personaly, i think the PC will prevail. |

not about the operating system? so like.. hardware?
Then Mac, without a question - as the 'computer in general' could run any OS (Mac, Linux, Windows), while a PC is limited to just the last two.
Otherwise the Intel architecture is fairly similar anyways.. so ultimately it depends on the manufacturer. Clearly Sony has better quality assurance than Dell. |

I agree. Of course, the Mac is kinda limited in the gaming and upgradable areas, but less viruses, and less spyware is a good thing too.
Overall.... Mac > PC |

I think that this entire pol is flawed (as in the Mac advertising campain) because a PC is s personal computer; and as such a Mac IS a PC
I think that mac hardware is great, but isn't as flexible as some other harware out there. Really it all depends on what you want to use your computer for |

I agree with Cornflake the poll is flawed. I prefere the windows operating system and for somereason I never like the Mac OS and I'm sure it never liked me. As for hardware you'll have to consider all the companies that make hardware and my preference there is HP. |

... i see my flaw now. i dunno, i was just watching the commercials and i ws geting really pissed off on how they were downgrading the PC. I shouldn't have asked which one you think is better, it's all about how yorue going to use it.
TY Cornflake. I should re-state the question....

Hmm... which one would I buy? I'd still get a PC just like mine because it works well and I've had no problems at all since I got it. |

Right now I have a PC but the next computer I get will be a Mac. They are much better than PCs.
And I think that those commercials are great. They are so true. |

Usually I prefer using PCs, though those shiny new 21" iMacs at my school might just change my mind... Also, I have yet to have a Mac as my everyday computer.
Either way, as long as it runs FreeBSD I'm happy. Cheaper (and reliable) hardware is a definite plus. |

My next computer will be definitly be a Mac, I am getting sick of the normal PCs.
And yeah, mac can run windows now, but seriously, why do you want to do that, lol. |

Because it's cheaper to run Windows on a Mac than on a Dell

as in HP-UX ?
While on the topic, I'm not too fond of Solaris, but the Sun Ray setup is rather nifty.
The point is that there are a lot more types of hardware than PC or Mac. Though most of the others are geared towards the corporate world, and you wouldn't normally encounter them unless you work for a bunch of different IT companies. |
