|
|
What is it? Well, it's a rough way of measuring the amount of time people spend talking to each other. The thickness of the lines and the length of them determine the strength of the bond. How does it work besides that? Well, I honestly don't know.
It just keeps getting larger and more complex as it runs for longer and longer. Before last night, it was only running for maybe a few hours at a time which means it was reset every time. Thanks to a crash (ask Dan ) and my tendency to move my laptop around, it wasn't up for very long at a time. Now it's running on a stable machine and should generate a fairly complex diagram in the next few days.
Oh, and the diagram updates often. In fact, it's uploaded every minute.
Also of interest might be the IRC Stats hosted by Cornflake (aka md).
I probably should mention that I did not write the bot that generates these images. You can find it here. |

*goses and crys in a corner* Dan... you played with the bot just too much. Your nick would be on there... but you can't bother the bot anymore . |

Me thinks this bot prunes too much weak connections... It'd get more interesting if you saw all (or more) the minor threads in there. |

Mazer wrote: I give up. I can't compete with rdrake's army of nicks. Many of them seem to be either from other people pretending to me or timeouts. Unfortunately last night was stormy, and the bot does not yet support aliases.
Pops, you logged in around 1:30 AM... I saw you. I was trying to get to bed though. Just log in at a more 1/2 decent time and there should be people there. |
