Hmm, an interesting read, uses science not just futuristic-ohsoawesome-technology, well maybe just a little but principles are well-defined. I would love to do any of the step, specially #3 Any thoughts?

you want to kill the earth? you monster have fun with that, actually wait no, go play with your antimatter and blow yourself up with it (before you reach the 2.5 trillion tons needed)

Uh, SuperFreak...he said #3 - not the Third one. That would be the Pulverization by Blunt Instrument, not the Antimatter one. But monster nonetheless!

Firing small super-fast objects at the planet... Wonder how fast a golf ball would have to go to be able to make a clean shot through the planet.... hehe

really (bloody) close to the speed of light, so through mass dilation it seems more heavy

The golf ball doesn't have to be moving, you just have to throw the planet really hard at a stationary one.

ya then its just the matter of moving a 40 trillion ton piece of rock at something...

haha yeah. thats what i dont get, why in space movies, if they are going at massive speads, isnt a little particle of space dust rippping their ship into about a billion peices when they hit it?
Wouldnt that be funny? Ship traveling and then suddenly shatters. Why? spacedust.

Because our spaceships don't go anywhere near the speed of light.
Unless you're talking about something like Star Trek. "Commander Data, Warp 8!" If we're going to bite and believe they're going beyond light speed, we shouldn't be worrying about the possibility of hitting spacedust.
Interesting, though. From Picard's perspective, the Enterprise is stationary and the dust is moving very fast, making the dust massive. But from the dust's perspective, the dust is stationary and the Enterprise is moving very fast, making the Enterprise extra massive. Same sorta thing as the Twin paradox, I guess.

Wow, Cervantes. You can be pretty dense sometimes. I'll tell you why the particles don't destroy the ship. And I'll explain it in five words:
Quote:
All power to forward shields!
I expected better from you!

Dear Mazer,
You're dense too. If they diverted all power to forward shields, they wouldn't have power to go at warp eight, now would they?
Sincerely,

I'm glad you took your stupid pills. It makes my job easier.
This is outer space. By Fig Newtons motion, you don't need to exert a force to continue moving at warp eight. Really, you don't think Picard would've though of that?

You're wrong again, Mazeri.
Picard didn't think of it. Why else would they say things like,
Quote:
Data: The Borg are matching our velocity. We can maintain warp nine for another five minutes and twenty-three seconds, after which we will be forced to slow to impulse and recharge.
Picard: I'm willing to entertain suggestions.

I am prity shure that in star trek warp travial uses technogly that bends space time, not so much so that it makes a warm hole tho, and that they acuatly do have a device to stop things from smashing them to pices witch is called the mian deflector or somthing and it is the big round blue and red colored thing on the front of the ship's lower section.
If i rember right it is need for warp travel and they can not even go in to warp with out it. Also a modfied verson is used by other races and futter star trek peoleops to stop the tidel forces from pwning them when going threw warmholes and other high greativy areas. (the borg use it for there warm hoel travel).
Also they are not aucatly going the speed of light or faster realtive to the ship and space right beside them since they are bending space time. They are only going faster then light realtive to things out side of the warped space time.
P.S. No i am not a star trek nerd, i just pay anation to sifi when i watch it
Edit: Also to the above they need power to maintin the warp filed witch warps space time. Once out of the warp filed you are going the voicltiy that you where going IN the warp filed not the volcity realtive to noraml space when in the warp filed. For example if i walk threw a warm hole i do not come out of it at the speed of light*1000, i come out of it at the speed of i was walking in to it. This is what makes travel faster then the speed of light posiable, becues you are not aucatly going faster then light realtive to your self and our close area in in the bent space time.
