My favourite quote, from the bottom: Zen Buddhism: Selected Writings. D.T. Suzuki. Doubleday. Challenged at the Plymouth-Canton school system in Canton, Mich. (1987) because "this book details the teachings of the religion of Buddhism in such a way that the reader could very likely embrace its teachings and choose this as his religion." The last thing we need are a bunch of peaceful Buddhists running around. The horror.

I find it very sad that anybook can be baned in this moder age that dose not fall in to the hate speash catgory.

Any how the one i saw first and the one that almost made be burst out laughting was 1984, Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451. Got to love how big broth dose not like peoleop reading about him.

Also find it funny how some one got bured at a stake for transating the bible in to english. And a book about Earth Science being banned? LOL And of corse On the Origin of Species, i whould be shocked if some one did not ban it some where.

Hamlet banned? Well i guse it is kind of voloint with all the main chars and the peolepo they know being killed but no more so then any modern action moive.

I think there is quite a clear theam here. If the book chlagenses the curent view of socity or relgion it gets baned. Affter all we do not whont peoleop thinking for them selves.

P.S. That zen buddhism one was rather funny to me, tho admity there have been a few very rare cases of buddist fancticks like in any relgion.

Coincidentally, David Suzuki's full name is also D. T. S.: David Takayoshi Suzuki. Thinking
