Video Editing software.
Does anyone know of some good video editing software? Would like to make an interesting video from some clips i have. Looking for something that gives more then just allowing me to place clips together. Different effects and perhaps advanced editing would be great.
P.S. dont worry, its not about CSS or WoW.

Sony Vegas, i heard is quite good. VDM, dont they just use it to convert video files(like ogm - avi), not much video edditing there. If everything fails, cant you always use MovieMaker

Ah, but VDM is relatively powerful for something open source. And it has a host of plugins available. Of course, if you're looking for something more, uh, elaborate, then go buy Aftereffects...though methinks that'd be overkill.

A very simplistic alternative (much cheaper): iMovie
Note: All app listed above are mac only.

Are you kidding me.. Adobe stopped production of Premier for the mac because they "could not compete" with Final cut pro. They are no leaders when it comes to Video editing.
And I haven't even heard of the other..
Here's a list of films edited with final cut pro: click
