|
|
Iv seem many game videos from people who like to show what they have done or can do.
Was wondering how they do that. Is there just a camera watching the monitor? or Is there a software which allows you to record whats on screen. If it is software whats it called? I would like to do similar things.
thanks |

Alot of people use fraps. But by the sword of Azrael, if I find out you've made a World of Warcraft or Counter Strike video I'll hunt you down and destroy you. |

yeah but then they use TEMPGNC encoder to encode it to other format (or same) and reduce bit rate to reduce the size, but the process takes hours, because the software is really really slow. |

Yep, it's usually either fraps or some in-game video creating system. For a lot of Quake engine based games you are able to take a replay, turn it into a whole lot of large pictures, and then turn that into a movie by encoding it in your favourite program. |

There's another oen called GameCam which is actually free, but you'll have to find the link yourself.
You can compress the video on-the-fly while recording with fraps, but it takes up a lot of processor time. Unless you're playing an older game, forget about compression. |
