I hope somebody edited your post. Otherwise I have to assume that you are an idiot.
shadow master: I haven't played CS in a long time but I think there are quite a few people around here that play regularly. In fact, there was a thread some time ago (early summer I think) talking about starting a clan or getting together to play. |

Wohoo, CS 1.6 rocks, the main reason i say that is because me and my friends have manadeg to get it running OK in the crappy school computers, now classes can verse each other.
Hey, are we allowed to post adresses of cracked servers in tis site? |

Man if you play Counter-Strike, and your in a clan, you need a life. I love CS, but joining a clan is like selling your soul to the devil. They get you to place weird symbols infront of your name like "x/Killers--[vahnx]" for example, which is just dumb. I stay alone and keep my 'fishfishstinks'. |

Being in a clan is what decides that you have no life? If anything it's what gives you a reason to play the game. Being in a clan means you have people you can get along with and enjoy playing with (otherwise you wouldn't have joined), or you can play with a random bunch of internet folk.
What you have to watch out for is when you start making video recordings of clan matches and your "top 100 headshots" and putting them on google video. |

It's no different than being on a sports team. If anything, I'd say it'd be better to play CS as part of a clan than not simply because it'll teach you teamwork. |

If you play sports on a team, you need a life. I love football, but joining a team is like giving in to "the man'. They get you to wear a jersey with a strange logo on the front and numbers below your name like:
Codemage
16
...for example, which is just dumb. I play football by myself.

Good clans are a lot of fun, bad clans aren't. You just have to be careful of the clans you join and figure out whether you want a clan that is only into competitions or one that is just wants to have fun playing the game. The problem with only playing in public servers is that there are a lot of idiots out there and the teams end up being just individuals that happen to have the same uniform on. Once you get into clans, strategy and teamwork become more important than individual efforts and its rather nice playing with skilled players who you know you can depend on. If any of you play Halo check out the Lorà clan server. |
