Just wanted a quick show of hands to see if there's anyone with a mouse (that you use daily) which doesn't have a scroll wheel, or has a scroll wheel that you can't click.
I'm actually not too sure if there are scroll wheel mice with non clickable wheels in existence, but I thought it'd be best to check anyways.

Personally I use a touchpad for daily use. However, both my mouse (which I never use) and my family computer's mouse have a scroll wheel and they can both be clicked.

I noramly use a touchpad as well that has a strip on it that is the same as the scrool wheel on a noraml mouse and it can be taped to be clicked.
By gaming mice both have wheels and are clickable. The mice i have seen at school have a wheel and are not clickable.
I also have some exteramly uniqie mice input systems that whould be hard to say wether they have a scrool wheel or not. For example i have a glove like thing that gose on your hand and when you move your hand it moves the mouse and moving finugres actacks as clicking and other mouse like buttions.
I also have a tablet that has a pen that can act like a mouse and has butions on it that can scrool threw things but are like a totgle switch then a clickeable buttion.

Very good point about the touchpads, thanks for reminding me guys. It's too bad the touchpad really sucks for games, though. And middle clicking on one is absolutely stupid. On a laptop I had, you could tap on the top-right corner for middle-click, and the bottom-right corner for right-clicking in case you didn't want to use the buttons... I suspect alot are like this nowadays. But anyways, it sucked.

Uh... not why r u asking lmao? All my school ones dont either dont have a weel (third button) or only two buttons - no weel!
also, i dont think they were ever made without a clicker for the weel, since it replaced a third button - that button had done somthing before, meaning if they got rid of the clicker, unholy hell would brake loose. so they kept clicker and made it weel shaped, so you could scroll better.

I also have a noramlish midel mouse boution on my laptop. Tho touch pads are furstarting with gaming. Esptaly in games that need you to move fast or do compicated mouse gestures.

when i played counterstrike : source, a guy with a labtop beat me. it was so sad lol. I guess after enough practice, one becomes quite diligant with the touch screen.

Does your normalish button actually do a middle click? Mine would only let you scroll. I didn't like it because for going through a web page or document it was too noisy, but a nice upside was that it could "scroll" left and right which made a nice backward and forward while browsing.
Remm, was he actually using the touchpad or a USB mouse? I only ask because CS is mainly an internet game and I don't know if you were playing in the same room or something.

lol the guy was playing from a hotel i believe. He clearly stated that he was using a touch screen. I admit that the guy was kinda camp-ish, which led to me being at the end of his gun many times, but still, damn good for a touch screen. Bleh, maybe he was lying? I usually get one rampage and then fade off into crap-ish-ness skills. dum counterstrike
As for gaming with a touch pad, why wouldnt you jsut keep a wireless mouse with you? or even one with a wire in some cases, still - if you got a labtop bag that goes with you anyways, might as well take it along?

Well you see,
a) I don't have a wireless mouse, or a mouse small enough to carry with a laptop, and don't think it'd be worth buying one (partly because I don't use a laptop anymore)
b) I don't use laptops for gaming
I just want to avoid excluding those who are with me on point a), if I can.

My mouse has more buttons than my keyboard!
Okay, not really. But it has like 9 or something. And a laser.

Using a laptop != Using a touchpad
Some people even get good at using trackballs with first person shooters. You just have to get used to it and set everything up according to your liking.
All my mice have a scroll wheel that clicks, it's probably just the really old ones that don't.
Does this have anything to do with EM2?
*edit* I don't refresh before posting.

@Mazer
yeah well, some people cant go without there counterstrike or w/e when they are away from their PCs. Poor addicts . And also, do you not have a labtop bag, or is it just a slim one holding only your labtop? every bag ive seen lately has a exess of pockets for stuffs. Furthermore, i was saying wireless because it is usually what people'd rather use with their labtops, but i meant just any mouse. Same difference if you never use it, I've got one and it is basically just a backup holding all of my warcraft 3 maps and downloaded content from various locations. Damn its old
