Hey,
I took computer programming this semester and for my final assignment I made a text based file browser. I want to make it more powerful, thus making it more useful. As of right now it can only do things like renaming, moving deleting files etc.
If you have a limited account at school or at home this will allow you to view the C drive and if you know how install files [not using a programs install program but manaully edit-copy its dependencies]
I'd appreciate if you told me what you think, any bugs or how I can improve
screen shots can be found here: http://photobucket.com/albums/b112/cr0b/Command%20Prompt/
--Please visit my website http://www.commandprompt.cjb.net
BTW I got 100% on the final assignment

Do you have a valid reason for hosting your ~400kB programme on an external server, albeit a very tedious and slow one? If you *really* need to keep track of the number of dls you get, we provide that option here.
Check any attached file, you'll notice a number listing this quantity.
If this file were larger than your account size, and Admin wouldn't grant you extra space (P(A)*P(B) - P(AnB) aprx= 0), then I could understand you hosting it elsewhere. Otherwise, take advantage of the ease of download here! Will make your life a little more centralized anyway.
I like your presentation, quite professional. But the font colour is terrible. Far too dark.
Also, you need to error trap your input, since something as basic as Ctrl+Z crashes it. I'm a little wary of the computer's Name being included in your 'bugs' file. Given, you're not likely to have anyone forward you that file, but if they did you haven't included any Statements on Privacy...and that kind of information, though mostly harmless, could be a sensitive issue for some people.
Just a thought.
Good functionality though. Overall, not a bad effort. Keep up the work, and good stuff on figuring out how to change your icon!

Thanks for the comments. I hosted here if that will help people [I thought Filefront was good and quick]
I will look into the privacy statement or lack there of.

suggestion: Change the "To List all Files and Folders in the working directory" from "ls all" to "dir", just like in a windows command prompt

Check the date of last post: Apr 17. (Its just above the user's post)
There are rules about necro posting, and CRob probably hasn't looked at this project for quite a while. (My assumption)
