Ive been having problems with installations on my computer. Every time i try to install something (using microsoft installer or w/e its called), it says "the file you are attempting to run is currupted. please obtain another copy and try again" not exactly quoted but its wat it basically said (i took out unimportant parts). Any ideas of what i could do? |

Well ive tried installing two online games multiple times on my computer and even in different formats but it kept telling me the files were currupt. then i tried installing a CD game and it worked. any idea why the online games dont work? (other people have no problems with the same games) |

It IS corrupt?...
EDIT: realized this might constitute spam soo... I used to have a problem like this since my internet connection used to be really bad, and it would disconnect itself on its own. I solved it by downloading (get lucky) a download manager like flashget. |

Try using the download manager (flashget is fantastic). IE occasionally drops data with its proprietary downloader.
AND / OR
Run a scandisk or chkdsk to see if your hard drive has bad sectors or problems with new file allocation. Sometimes these sort of errors will make everything buggy until they're sorted out. |
