Please remove that link. Compsci.ca could get in a lot of trouble for that being posted.
Anyway, your school may use Ready, but it is a certified waste. Use the Java link turboliux gave you. That's the "real" Java -- the one by Sun Microsystems anyway.

| Also, if you want an IDE, Eclipse is excellent, although I wouldn't recommend using an IDE to start.
