I'm starting a new IRC channel for users of this forum. It is also on afternet.org so you can be in #compsci.ca at the same time.

#cs-self-taught is intended for those independently learning programming skills, as opposed to those looking for help with homework assignments. With the interest in Ruby and O'Caml, neither of which are overly well represented by high school or college courses, it seemed a good time to add this kind of channel.

I look forward to seeing you there.

You know you can be at 2 different servers at once, so this doesn't really need to be on afternet... right?

Just making sure. Smile

But it's easier this way. I'll try to drop in after exams are out of the way, depending on how I'm feeling.

This is a great idea. Maybe now I can actually learn more ruby without distractions.
