Of those choices, at least...

Thinkpad. Definitely Thinkpad.

I agree. Although, you haven't listed the prices on the last two.

I've got the Acer Aspire 3003WLCI. I'm using it right now. I guess this goes for most laptops, but this battery is less effective than a retarded kid running some kind of treadmill electrical generator. Well, it isn't, but I'm trying to point out that the charge doesn't last long.

Fortunately, I didn't buy the laptop (and the person who did was reimbursed for it), it gets the job done, and there are power outlets everywhere I need to use this on campus. And the campus wide wifi is slowly covering my needs too.

Get the thinkpad, but pay the extra few bucks for 512mb of ram and maybe a bigger hard-drive. You'll definitely appretiate it later.

Acer 3613WLCi Notebook PC
I would go for that, unless you pay extra for 512 mb for IBM and definitly definitly a 40g hard drive.

IBM, I would only go for the T and X series. The other series aren't that great compare to other brands at that price.
There are many cheap new ones that are about 750 bucks. They look pretty good too. It is new at least Razz
