How would I use this? Whats its purpose and how can I apply it to images? Using this I can get images imported to applications... but how?

The questions you're asking indicate that you really shouldnot be worrying about images.

The difference between Java and Turing goes a lot deeper than just syntax. There are many, many concepts you'll have to learn before you can even approach the issues you're trying to deal with now.

It'd be like saying: "I want to build a 1337 gaming box! What's a CPU?"
