PostPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2005 6:28 pm   Post subject: Waterloo students meeting

I'm sitting here reading the forums and thinking to myself that there are quite a few forum members that go to UW. Seeing as I'm bored most of the time, and I like eating I was wondering if any of the members here would like to go out for wings at morties some night... if you haven't heard of morties... well... 'tis good

Oh... and if your of age then drinking is good too Razz

Don't complain when people pay you for no reason... it's generally considered a good thing.

There are other people who are currently at UW though, I'm almost sure of it. So perhaps if enough people are interested and some time can be found...

See now that's the problem right there... these darned U of T hippie programmer wanabies Wink

As for postponing it... no one said it had to be a one time thing...

[edit] Upon further thought why limit it to UW students; I'm thinking anyone who enjoys a good meal and is in waterloo is free to come

[edit 2] Bill Gates is comming to UW! Hopefully I'll be able to get tickets...

to UW campus (I think) and relatively soon, I have it strait from those who were in attendance at the secret meeting about it. I'm sure that there's info posted somewhere about it.

Shocked Do you know if this is a public lecture, or something only for the students there?

It's by invite only. You need to sign up, fill out a servey and they decide if they should let you in or not.

The survey goes something like
microsoft survey wrote:

1. What is your favourite OS of choice?
    a) Windows 2000
    b) Windows XP
    c) Windows Vista - Beta
    d) I will not be attending the lecture

It's actually not at all that biased; just visit the mathsoc webpage (if you're in math or cs) For other faculties I don't know where you'd register.

EngSoc takes applications from Engineering students. Though they are sending 100 students only. The "talk" will be broadcast via video in DC and SLC. Possibly webcast.

Ether way, I can't make it there, since I'll be out of town that morning. (October 13th)
