I jsut cam accross this when I was looking for a free hosting site that would give you a name like "***.cjb.net" as opposed to www.geocities.com/*** and I was wondering if n e 1 had used CJB or if they actually host your files or if they just supply free web forewarding.

www.cjb.net

Thanks

P.S. if n e 1 has other suggestions plz tell me them

If u have enougth bits u can get it at compsci.ca as well Razz

I have used cjb.net b4, i do not think it fills ur sites with ads unless u selcted the one option that has fine print with it about ads. In fact we (the site) used to use some of there serivces back in the day of swat and even b4 that, but as u can see we have evloded alot since then.

Any how the comand is ftp and it should come with windows and is basickly a rip off of a comand unix/linux one.

Or you can get a very awsome hosting package from http://www.trap17.com/ I know the owner. Smile Good guy, all you have to do is chat a lot in the forums and click the google-ads every once in a while and he hooks you up with a very decent package. It's technically not free (your method of payment is the forums chatting and clicking ads), but you don't have to dish out any cash. Unlimited SQL databases, 500 MB Bandwidth and 50 MB storage, unlimited e-mails, unlimited FTP accounts, umlimited subdomains, (ie: happyplace.xiplst.uni.cc), CGI, PHP, .NET, cPanel, the works. Better than any other free hosting service I've come accross.
