I ripped this chat off of a homestead.com page. These are my favourite free chatrooms right now. Check it out for yourself...

code:
<!-- Begin HTML7--><APPLET CODEBASE="http://chat.homestead.com/~site/StandAlone" code=ChatRoom/ChatRoomApplet.class width=600 height=300 ARCHIVE="chatroom.zip">
<PARAM NAME=TITLE VALUE="Chatroom Title">
<PARAM NAME=BACKCOLOR VALUE=0:0:0>
<PARAM NAME=TEXTCOLOR VALUE=255:255:255>
<PARAM NAME=TITLEBACKCOLOR VALUE=0:0:119>
<PARAM NAME=TITLETEXTCOLOR VALUE=255:255:255>
<PARAM NAME=HOST VALUE=chat.homestead.com>
<PARAM NAME=NOUNID VALUE=1000></APPLET>
<!-- End HTML7-->

there's a bunch of PHP ones, but most are slow and have to refresh. There are some really great java applets out there for chats, and the one you ripped from homestead is cool, but ive seen that somewhere else (like it was at a script site)

hmmm could you give us a username/password to try it out? I don't really PHP chatrooms because they have a refresh rate thing on them that make them flicker, I do not believe PHP can have them update smoothly like java ones, i could be wrong though?
