I have some things on my computer i need to get rid of.
How can I restore my system to a fresh install of XP only?
I've tried the wizards and have gotten nowhere.
Any assistance is welcome (as the M$ forums are junk).

you're stuck with xp "home" ? bummer
anyways - you pop in the OS cd, reboot the system and follow the steps. When you're up to "where to install" screen, you delete all the patrisions and format a new one, then install xp there.
though you should probably wait for somebody else's opinion... I have very bad experience formating systems... - Darkness |

Yes, formatting is the way. That's one way to do it, though I've heard from somebody that using fdisk is better... I don't know exactly why. |

fdisk is good for partitioning, but i need to install some drivers first.
win xp only understands upto 130 gig HDDs. i have an 80 and a 250. i don't plan to waste 120 gig instantly.
