I have finally, after months of testing, created a fully graphical, multiplayer RPG. Unfortuanately, I just remembered that I made each client autoconnect to my IP....and I dont have internet. So, I ask that this post be kept up, because as soon as I do a couple of updates, I will upload the client for people to play. I open this topic just in case anybody has any suggestions. Here is the outline on how the game will work and be like:

Dark Realm : By DanShadow
Dark Realm is a fully graphical, multiplayer RPG created using Turing. It is based on multiple clients, which autoconnect to my server. Im still actually working on the storyline behind it, but you can have as many players as you want, who autoconnect to my server (which is only up when I have it running.) If the server is not up, the client will not connect, and will inform the player of this, and the reason behind it. In the game, you will be given the following stats: HP, maxHP, mana MAXmana, weapon, armor, hand, gold, and four inventory spaces. The tileset will most likely be small, probably (8*8 tile, 64*32 tiles)
to maintain a faster gamespeed. There will be a large set of these maps, which will load once you hit the outside of a map. Each tile has a different ground type (ie. grass, water, dirt, etc.), and a different object and item on it. For now, the game will just be that everybody can see eachother, and talk to eachother while playing together. The monsters will be privately created and distributed by the servers, so that players can combat monsters together. In later updates, (if it doesnt lag tooo much), will add in so that items can be seen between players, transfered between players, etc.

So I hope you all anticipate the release of DARK REALM: ALPHA 1.0. Laughing
Ill post the client as soon as I get the game from v.a.0.06 to v.a.1.0.

Hmm... interesting, an online RPG in turing eh?
Can't wait to see it, do you plan to have it so that you can kill other players on compsci and steal their items?

not ON Compsci....hehe. I will have it so there will be an arena map, where players can duel eachother. The loser drops whatever he has in his hands. (Just because, well some n00b might wander in, get demolished, and lose all his items, and whine to me. So its easier if you only lose whats in your hand.) I might make a map though where you fight for everything you own. Laughing
But ill probably block it off, so only me, or a designated admin (mod) can open the arena.

Well, ive updated it...but Ive made the decision that it was all in vane. The .NET commands used in Turing are FARRRRR too slow, and makes the game pointless to play, literally! So, if I can get myself online, ill post the client. The game is nice, but the net commands are too slow. Anyways, ive pretty much mastered multiplayer programs in Turing, so if anybody needs assistance creating anything multiplayer at all, just PM and ill help you with anything you need.
