wow, eNc to the rescue, if your bored enough, will u please make me a banner, I can't figure out a way to make one thats the same gradient as this one, with different text.
Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

I just downloaded photoshop today and dunno how to use it, and the tuts are too boring to read.

If you don't wanna bother with that, then you can make one that fits with my site:

you want exactly the same ? i can get close but not the same, and for your site, what are you looking for in it eg abstract, crystal, randomness, theme .. eg CS umm Programming prehaps? and how large would would you like it because you'd want it to fit in perspective with the rest of your content .. umm like are you paying for that site, theres a whole ton of content on it.

woot we should have lil a tut section 8) umm well the background is bascially clouds, distorted by a wave and the gradient is quite simple.
make a new layer, fill with black, and choose gradient tool, set the mode to difference (doing this allows you to put many gradients on one layer). Now since ists your first time, GO CRAZY WITH IT just click all over the place you can use diffferent types of gradients also eg, circle, diamond, linear, do not fill it up too much as it will become cluttered. Now you have your gradient, while the layer is active (look in layers window) press ctrl + u, check off COLORIZE and then play with the first two sliders to achieve a nice color. Stick your name on it on another layer so that it can be ediable, right click the layer and choose blending options and mess around with them untill you get what you like. I'f you have ny trouble pm me there insn't a problem.
