my brother emailed me today with a question about bitmaps. He wasn't really asking me, since i have no idea, but he was asking me to ask everyone here.

what is it that he is trying to do that he has to edit a bitmap in some wierd way like that?

he didn't say. Confused It's for his work, though, and he's working for his physics prof at UofT doing some stuff regarding volcanic activity.
