For anybody wanting to learn some c++ / pascal, this is what I recommend.

First, grab a compiler (there are some free, albeit confusing ones available on the internet) or get one off of kazaa (I didn't tell you that)...

Anyway, grab some tutorials off of the internet and learn the basic syntax. Forget about turing. This is the real deal.

A couple of good sites are:
www.cprogramming.com
www.cppreference.com

Anyway, now for some applications. Head on over to http://ace.delos.com/usacogate and register there. It's a training program for the USACO contests.

Lotsa fun, I try to do one a week. I wish I had more time in the week.
