I recentley installed Ubuntu, and I was wondering how do I get the path to a certain data file to read it, because in windows 7 it was straight forward, you just click on the top bar and copy/paste, but I do not know what to do, if anyone knows, could you please tell me?

Don't use Ubuntu. Do HLFS, I had a lot of fun doing it, and you learn how linux really works. Try it out. Don't waste your time on someone elses' distribution??̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̳̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿̿
