For any of you who have tried the new photoshop version 8, i'd like some feedback on it. I've tried it a bit at a friend's house, and quite frankly it's taking some time to get used to.

my greatest pet peeve is how adobe changed the keyboard shortcuts to everything... ctrl+d doesn't deselect anymore...

hmm...Ill have to get Photoshop 8 some time. And whatdotcolor_advocate...just as a prewarning, dont spam or anything on this forum, because many others with similar names have done that on all forums. But anyways, in photoshop (which is a great photo editing tool), there is a tool (I believe) similar to whatdotcolor...its the dropper. It takes the color of a dot underneath it, and displays it as your main color being used.

Checks IP of Jay Lo and advocate...
hmm...so you two are the same..lol
I suggest against using that kind of username, because usernames like that have been banned in the past, and it wouldnt be very nice if someone saw that name, and banned your IP...lol

I dono... Confused
And it doesnt matter if you post from your school...all IP addresses and logins from those IPs are logged, and checked once and a while by mods. Smile (Just so some person doesnt create 20 fake logins spamming or something)

While CS has some nifty new stuff, I guess I'm not advanced enough to fully take advantage of all the improved features in 8.0; so I wasn't too upset when I switched to Linux and CS stopped working. 7.0 is good enough for me Very Happy

ELCOMANDANTE, have you used other version of Photoshop before, or is this your first foray into the world of image editing?

If you want a free, legal alternative to photoshop, head over to www.gimp.org . It's just as powerful as Photoshop, but at 0% of the cost! Very Happy

Outdated, eh? Well, *hint* Gimp just released a new version yesterday *hint hint*. It's called GIMP 2.2 and it's really swell. There's a Windows version too! *hint hint hint*
