composite video to hdmi?

Had an Idea a few hours ago for connecting my psp to my monitor, my monitor supports DVI and im currently using a HDMI to DVI converter to connect my laptop it, But my psp has composite out only [via the cable you can buy to connect to tv's and such], Is there an converter that goes from composite to HDMI, so I can get the video on the monitor and just run the audio separately.

Composite to HDMI to DVI is proably not going to get you a full HD resoultions on your monitor. In fact it may look worse then your TV if it is not the monitors natural resolution.

You maybe better off getting a ps3 component out cord and somthing like this:

I am sure you could find one for DVI some where if your monitor does not have VGA.


For the PS3 coposite and svideo out is caped at 480i while compoent will get you up to 1080p and you have the standard audio outs which can be converted with somthing like:

the psp's tv-out functionality is really crap. theres a really big border around the main game screen so you wont be able to scale the screen up to to your tv's max size. plus, some games look like ps1 games, i tried motorstorm arctic edge and it looked awful.
