I really don't feel dumb at all. Actually it's pretty inspirational and it's great to see how the Computer field has started to grab the attention of younger ages. It certainly has attracted me.

I agree. It's very inspirational. While It may not make me feel dumb in my current state of mind, I would be a liar to deny this kid achieving a lot more than I would/could at his age.

The most impressive feat this child has accomplished is the overcoming a challenge of resources. Once in a while amazing things happen. I'm astonished this child has feated so many goals on his own; he said himself he had to beg his mother for a miniscule $99 fee.

His ability to start at a kindergarten level, and continue with relatively no help is astounding (until after his first app, which he began to get support). Moreover, I'm impressed with the exuberance he has sustained about computer science; most of the time children can not pay attention long enough to play a Wack-A-Mole - much less develop one.

Also to close, I am bewildered by the amount of support he is now offered. He started out small, and now he does have resources about him; even the people at the apple store assist him. A child making a change in his school - via a talent that is not only rare among children, but among adults as well - is amazing. He has even gone so far as to persuade his teacher(s) to volunteer and help him with a club for developing software to be sold to other school districts.

There are so many questions that pop into my head when viewing this. Would I have been doing the same if the technology today existed when I was young? What does the future hold for education systems when technology is booming so fast that people like this kid have the skill, means and resources to make applications for phones? I don't feel jealous, but I do think he's got one hell of a future ahead of him. Years from now I'll be outsourcing my coding to kids like this while I concentrate on the art and assets Wink
