I have been having problems with my laptop's power cord recently, I try to plug in my cord and it only works in the right angle, any other angle or position makes it not work, and when it does work it gets really hot really quick. Does anybody know any reasons this could be happening?

It's probably an issue with the pin which is usually inside the laptop adapter jack itself.

Had that issue happen to me until no position worked at all. Costs $80 to fix at Staples.

Yeah I figured it probably was. The overheating confused and kinda concerned me though, I don't want to short circuit anything,
