Im almost done my first semester for grade 11. I want to attend waterloo so badly! That's been my lifes dream. My math and science is always 96% +, but my english marks are in the low 90's Sad. I have never attended a computer contest but i have attended waterloo's math contest and did really well in alot of em'. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I want to know if any universities would even care of accepting me. I want to go into computers in my future as my career. It's been my goal since a young age.

I think you have more of a problem in terms of not knowing what program you should be apply to then your grades.

"computers" is a rather broad career field. It could including everything from working at futureshop to university research positions. You may want to check out tony's post http://compsci.ca/blog/6-degrees-of-computer-science/ about some of the unversitie degrees. There are also realted degrees in arts such as management information systems.

Your marks aren't bad...you'll get in assuming that you maintain these marks in Grade 12. Grade 11 marks don't matter unless you're going for early acceptance (or if you're in IB because your predicted marks are based partly off of Grade 11 marks).

You should try to participate in CCC this year if your school participates in it.

(I'm assuming this is a serious post and not an attempt at trolling) Relax, you're pretty much guaranteed to get in with those marks, eventhough I don't go there I got an offer from Waterloo a couple of years ago with top 6's average in low-mid 90s and an english mark in the low 80s, with no computer competitions or extracurriculars . I know people with low 80s average who managed to get in there. So just calm down, try to maintain your marks and apply for the early admission next year.

If you're in IB then you pretty much have already completed the official grade 12 coursework for most courses by the end of grade 11. Uni's typically only look at that

Don't scare me Razz
The course codes for IB Grade 11 are still those of Grade 11, so Unis can't possibly look at that (I hope).
My school predicts us a mark which we then submit for applications to university.
