Hi,

Could a mod answer why I got this message in my Profile settings? I wanted to make sure that my email was accurate. Is my account disabled? What do I do? I haven't been on here in a while.

Uh, that might be a way to stop spam. Apparently some spammers will act like legit posters (they aren't very good at it, but I digress) and once they've got a post count they'll switch their avatar or signature to an advertisement and as people browse years-old or stickied threads they'll come across viagra adds. Mods don't notice 'cause these are essentially dead threads that most people don't read all the way through.

I guess Dan (or php, I dunno) locks inactive accounts to prevent this.


Or I may be wrong, and it does this for a completely different reason.

That was the first time I got that message.

I would have to guess that my account is locked for some reason. Dan sometimes replies to my PMs, and sometimes doesn't. I hope someone see's this thread, and unlocks my account.

Your profile was locked out for setting a signature which violated the rules of the site and/or ToU. Since it has been some time since the infraction i have reenabled your profile.

I'm really sorry, Dan. I know I should went to a torrent/P2P forum. I won't talk about it on here again.
