Hey guys i hope it's the right forum, I am creating this topic to get maximum info about transferring to a college in Canada.

I am a student in NU FAST, Lahore Pakistan. I actually grew up in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The story is I shifted to Lahore to pursue my higher education( BCS). I currently have completed 63 credits but the problem is i am unable to proceed.

There are a number of reasons:

1) Contrary to what people may think, i find CS easy and interesting. But the situation of my country is not that great at the moment. This has caused me depression and anxiety issues. Leaving me unable to study or cope with the day to day life.

2) I actually want to complete my degree in a Canadian university especially U of T or Waterloo (long shot i know!)

3) I actually have been mugged on the street twice so i am really paranoid about going out! ( not logical as one can be mugged anywhere but still...)

4) My aim is to complete my BCS from Canada and pursue further higher education Msc in Canada of USA.

I have completed 6 semesters. You can see that these credits should be done in 4 semesters but due to the reasons mentioned above i am a little behind in my education.

I hope with the help of members here i can have some fruitful results and make new friends.

I have emailed a few universities and actually am waiting for their replies to continue this process.

So help me out guys, is it possible for me to transfer? What would be the fee structure? I pay for my own college fees here so can anyone give an idea about the costs of education in Canda. I will oobviously have to look for a part time job to my expenses. Would i be able to pull through?

If any of you has any insight please be kind enough to share.

A basic info of my education would be that i did O-Levels and A-levels.

Thanks a million!

Moin
