Hey, so I'm gonna be staying in REV this year and I read about how you can only connect one computer to your ethernet port in your room, or your internet will be cut.
How does this work for dual-booters? Can I only use one OS then? |

I believe it is MAC-address restricted (at least that's how it was some years ago). A router would have a static MAC-address; you can NAT as many computers as you want behind that (dual-booting will also maintain the same MAC-address, as that is burned into your network card... unless you mess around with it in software config). |

I thought you weren't allowed to bring your own router as it 'interferes' with their network Either way, I've got a dual gigabit on my motherboard, so I assume I can use that to hook my laptop up as well.
Router would make it easier though.. much easier |

When I was at UW I had a router hooked up for the first week or two as I had multiple computers that all required internet. After that though I got fed up with the insane usage restrictions and ended up getting a rogers connection I shared with a few other people on the floor w/ wifi. |
