Are all four schools taking you for Software Engineering? UWaterloo. Because of co-op. |
Tony's programming blog. DWITE - a programming contest. |

UW would be your number one choice for engineering, and like Tony said it has co-op. Queens would make a great second choice, they have some really cool engineering programs. |

Well, I'm going there! But I'm not sure how strong it is in Engineering, I'm going for Physics. Waterloo cleans up on the engineering front, but if the city life is important to you as well then McGill would be a sweet choice. Some of the people I know there in Eng. seem to really enjoy it. |

University Life is pretty important to...
Queens and Western also offer Co-op i believe and I'm not sure about Mcgill, But montreal does have a nhl team so thats a pull.
The programs are Software at Waterloo, General at the other 3
Right now my top two are Waterloo or Queen's.
Queen's i still technically haven't been accepted to but i don't believe that will be a problem.
I here Queen's has a more "fun" environment but Waterloo has a better pure educational side.
which leads to the other question
I'm not really sure what kinda engineering i want to specialize in? I enjoy programming but also build machines and stuff so it's sorta a fifty fifty draw. |

If you feel university life is an important factor then you should seriously consider McGill. Queen's is fun, but McGill has the big city feel to it. Seems like you're probably going to end up choosing between software, computer, or electrical engineering. |

Also, McGill has an internship year which is different from co-op, but lets you take a year off to work in a field related to your studies. |
