I got a reply from Waterloo back in February about early acceptance (Feb 10ish) and with the upcoming mid-terms I had some questions.
I got accepted to Honors Computer Science with a ~91 average from Advanced Functions, Physics and Data Mangement and I was wondering about the effects of my mid-term.
Here are the marks I am expecting to get
Calculus 84 (My math is slipping a bit - I expect it to improve)
English ~88
Chemistry ~90
I was wondering since my Calculus is a bit lower than the required overall average (~85) will this effect any of my chances in Waterloo? (I am taking the Euclid math contest tomorrow)
Sorry if I am asking questions that seem obvious or apparent, I just don't want to take any chances with my acceptance (I don't know the full process).
Thank you, feel free to ask any additional questions |

Your early acceptance should have specified the conditions under which it will remain valid. You should find a copy of that document and review the requirements. |

Doesnt affect it. It is the AVERAGE that they are looking for. They accepted me with my calc mark of 83 so no worries.
Just stay in the "competitive range" |

I believe that for early acceptance, they don't solely look at your average. Instead, they look at all your activities, your involvement with your community, etc...
I remember getting my acceptance letter into Math and CS at Waterloo on December 12th 2009. My calculus and French teachers were apparently called by the university regarding my extracurricular activities, etc... |
