|
|
I am in the process of transferring from a college in florida with my associates degree to an ontario university. So far I have taken a lot of general classes such as a lot of math, sciences, humanities, etc (basically no comp sci courses). My options are either Brock, York, McMaster, or University of Toronto (Mississauga).
From what I've heard employment is greatly influenced by the reputation of the school you attend, so reputation is important to me and which is the best school overall?
On a side note I've already done two years of college here and I really want to get credit for the classes I've taken so far, I understand Ill be behind but do you think they'll at least use what i've got for electives and such?
I'd really appreciate any input, Thanks! |

I think most would agree that out of those options, University of Toronto has the highest reputation. That's not to say it's the best school for you, because it largely depends on what you want to focus your studies on. If this is your undergraduate degree, reputation really doesn't matter a whole lot for employment. What are you going to be studying? |

Ahhh well that certainly makes things easier. Yes, I would say University of Toronto is definitely your best option for computer science. |

University of Toronto (downtown Toronto) has a high reputation. I'm not really sure how it works for its satellite campuses, as they consistently seem to have very different admission requirements. |

That is very true, I just realized we're talking about Mississauga. I have no idea how much it would be different. |
