Hello, I'm thinking of applying to Waterloo for computer science. I have applied to physics there as my first choice, but I'm interested in CS as well. However, I only had room in high school to take the grade 11 course (I am taking it now). I also have not written any math or computing competitions. My marks are the following:
English: 83
Chemistry: 97
Biology: 98
Calculus and Vectors: 98
Advanced Functions: 98
*Physics: 100
*Grade 11 CS: 98
*Courses I am currently taking; these are my midterm marks.
I'm hoping that my high standing in these related subject areas can account for the lack of senior CS and competition writing...any insights from people who were in a similar situation? |

A high school level Computer Science is not a requirement to get into and succeed in a CS degree. Those look like ridiculously high marks that should get you into most programs. |
