HAven't posted in a long time, lol. Anyways, has anyone seen those level up things you put in your signature and then someone else clicks on them and they can choose to level it up or not. I want to make a site that like, a good example is internetometer. I am very interested in this and am wondering what kind of programming I need to learn and is it possible to create and manage a site like internetometer by myself? Any help is greatly appreciated! ! Please dont be so general, it pissess me off. I need some specifics, as I want to make a website and possibly share management between 3 other people.

You need a database to keep track of users. You need to process forms for users to sign up. You need to process forms (yes, those are POST links) to count clicks. As soon as someone figures out that you don't prevent more than one click, everyone will click themselves to infinity and leave.

I would have imagined that such sites make money by driving a volume of traffic and throwing ads at them. In this case Google Adsense. An alternative stream of revenue is building up a spam mailing list, although depending on the theme of the click-site, it might not necessary represent any particular demographic (and thus are generally much less valuable).
