Right now i have 90+ avg going in with midterms but i've been hearing stories about how scholarships are based on the avg you got in with.

SO are scholarships based on your ABSOLUTE FINAL AVG or your midterm avg? Also, is it your top 6 or all your marks in general? thanks!

I am sure it is all your marks in general, but I have no idea about the midterms/finals thing. (I think it would be finals though.)

I can't say for all schools, but for Waterloo I think it is based off the 6 courses factoring into your admission average. Also, the website says they use early may marks.

On a semi related note, does anyone know if Waterloo factors your AIF and Euclid scores into scholarship decisions? I remember reading something from them that mentioned those two in relation to scholarships, but I can't remember exactly what for. Also, I remember hearing that your AIF and contest scores add some number of points to your average when considering you for admission.

I believe they do factor AIF and contest scores, the Euclid in particular, into consideration. However, the National Scholarships have all been given out. Congrats to Brian Bi for getting awarded the CIBC $25k scholarship! You really deserve it!

Hi, Does anyone know of any scholarships, bursaries, awards, etc., for students studying overseas? Thanks so much

Well, a majority of the scholarships have already been handed out (you should have received an email, or even a package in your mail, regarding this). However, there are lots of bursaries out there, including ones for students studying overseas (though I could be mistaken here). If you are talking about universities here in Ontario, you could apply for an OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) loan. Though I am not sure how this works for students studying overseas. This is their homepage if you need any further information: https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal/en/Home/index.htm
