USB soundcard 5.1 software

I recently bought a usb sound card, but the software for it does not work with windows 7. I want a basic software that can control a 5.1 ch surround sound with basic audio controls and some advanced. any suggestions? i want to be able to control each speaker individually.

I think he wants some kind of driver to control the hardware.

no, I have the driver. I'm asking if anyone knows of a good audio program that lets you control various things on speakers such as if you want it playing 5.1 surround or stereo or matrix and stuff like that. also to be able to switch between sound devices/outputs.
