How is the software engineering program at UW?

I recently got accepted there and i was just wondering what actual student life is like in the program.
SO if anybody wants to tell me how being in software engineering or computer engineering is that'd be great!
Like how is the workload, parties, people, environment everything? Also, do i need computer science grade 12 to do well in it?

Student life is what you make it. There are plenty of parties and partiers, plenty of quiet places and quiet people, and plenty of everything in between. You won't have trouble fitting in.

In terms of workload, it comes down to discipline. If you can sit at a desk for a few hours every day and get some solid work done, you'll be just fine. It's not easy and you won't be smiling through it all, but it's by no means impossible.

Do you need grade 12 CS to do well? Absolutely not. The courses are designed so that you don't need any prior programming experience. It probably won't hurt you if you choose to take it, but it won't be of much benefit once you move on.

PEng is useless for programmers. If student life is a big factor in choosing a program, definitely choose CS.
