Since my Archos is not now toast, and I used it to backup alot of stuff from my computer, I need a way to retrieve the information from it.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can remove the drive and make it a standalone powered off a USB mabe?

Archos ... 9/10?
Heres the insides of a 9: http://f.imagehost.org/view/0114/IMG_0291
And possible answer could lie here or somewhere on that forum: http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=30049&hilit=remove+hard+drive

With the Factory drive in place: http://jkkmobile.blogspot.com/2009/11/archos-9-tablet-dissected.html

The drive is a 1.8 inch PATA ZIF SSD. Personally I've no idea how to connect it outside.

I did. Came up almost empty handed...I wanted to see if anyone had any experience doing this or knew more than I did from a hour or 2 of googling. Its always better to get more info.
