PostPosted: Sat Feb 20, 2010 1:58 pm   Post subject: need help testing parent-teacher interview application

back in i don't know how long, i've posted a help thread regarding php and mysql etc. because we have to develop an online parent-teacher interview application (that time it was for our ISU). now, obviously the ISU's done... and we got a good mark on it, but the reason we're still working on it is cuz well, the school really do plan on using it. we gave a presentation to one of our vice principles already, and will give a presentation to all of our vice principles as well as the principle this coming thursday. our group cannot possibly do all the necessary testing =s, so can you guys browse through the site and see if you see any major or minor bugs as well as suggestions.

the application is located here: http://ayjackson.ca/pti/login.php
to log in, you'll need to find a password and an email from here: http://ayjackson.ca/pti/admin.php

there's 2 types of logins, to log in as a parent use the email and random code from the students table, and to log in as a teacher you'll have to use a teacher email and password in the 3rd table on that page.

there's some known bugs so far:
yes we know language don't work except on the front page (we haven't implemented that yet)
print table will show some undefine for teachers if they decide to show only one of their courses instead of all the courses (should be an easy fix though)
logout button doesn't glitter

and to-be-implemented:
parents can select a main topic they wish to discuss will booking an appointment
teachers can add comments to each appointment they have
hopefully add an interactive map in place of the one we have right now
multilingual on all pages

so please guys we need your help, even if it's just browsing through it once or twice or booking a few appointments. inform us of any bugs you've encountered and state the browser (we made it in chrome and we had a problem with IE before). and given that the target audiences are parents, what suggestions would you guys give.

thx in advance
