Windows 7 Language Packs

Hey all,
I've got a bit of a problem that I could use some help with. My brother in-law bought a new computer from future shop, with Win 7.
The thing is, it came with French as the default language pack, and as far as I can tell, no others installed. I've been trying to figure
out where I might download or install the English language pack, but to no avail. When I go into control panel to change the language,
there aren't any others available to choose from. Any ideas?

The language packs should be available for install through the Windows Update mechanism.

That's what I found as I was trying to solve this problem. And yet, they are not. It's tough to figure out what's going on, as everything is in French,
but Windows Update finds no recommended updates, and only 1 optional update, which is an add-on for Microsoft Office. I found something
else that says that only certain versions of Windows 7 have the ability to change the default display language, but I'm not sure of the credibility of
the source.

Apparently it says it only effects Enterprise and Ultimate.

Take it back to future shop and ask if they can reinstall the correct OS [and language]. Complain if you must. After all, you probably bought it after looking at a laptop in english.

Thanks for the link, Zren. I guess back to Future Shop it is. I wasn't actually there when it was purchased, but you're right,
the one they looked at definitely was not in French.

They only show up as optional updates in ultimate as mentioned above.
