Hi all. While getting an MSc in physics I came to the realization that what I enjoyed most about my thesis project was not the physics, but developing and coding the simulation I was using.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough programming experience to get a decent job yet, so I'm looking to beef up my education. Having already spent 6 years doing an undergraduate and graduate degree, I'd like to get into the real world as soon as possible.
Two programs I've came across are Concordia's one-year "Computer Science Diploma" and McMaster's two-year BSc in CS for students who already have an undergraduate degree. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? Do you know of any similar programs? Combined with my prior education in math and physics, would either leave me with a sufficient level of education to get a job as a programmer?
Ideally I'm looking to jump in to the games industry, but I'm willing to settle for other positions.
Thanks in advance! |
