I just heard on the radio that a experimental plane in the shape of a saucer broke off of its teather and somehow a 6 year old kid somehow got on that plane.

If this is about the "Boy said to have floated off in balloon found safe" story, here's the punchline:

"FORT COLLINS, Colo. ? A 6-year-old Colorado boy feared to have floated off in a helium balloon was found safe at his home Thursday, hiding in a cardboard box in the garage attic.

Sheriff Jim Alderman turned to reporters during a news conference and gave a thumbs up and said, "He's at the house." Alderden said an investigator on the scene saw the boy and he was fine, and had apparently been in the attic the whole time."

wow. I guess it was a old story that I half paid attention to.

I remember a couple of hours ago the story being the kid was missing from the balloon, so I guess somewhere reporters were quick to followup on the story so now it doesn't really seem that exciting.

"How many kids will copycat this and not get national attention" is what I'm wondering now. After all, how hard is it for some kid to think, "If I can fool people I can get on TV." In a way this makes me sad that only more stupid things will happen.
