hey tony u should try out databases in java (java.sql package).. it's hell easy and lacks the compexity of managing cursors etc.. in vb (i think that is a problem in vb? i've fogotten that language.. i remember i had some heck of a problem with it using databases. maybe it's just me)
but i would say Perl is the best language for databases.

I find database managment very easy in VB... well.. atleast with MS Access...
Hopefully I'll get around to learning Java's DBs soon enough
