Ok yeah it is faster than firefox but to open another application is that really necessary?
wouldn't anyone worried about speed already be using safari?
I would switch to safari if it had a free add blocking plugin. I think it has flash block right? |

I'd say it's for web developers to use to test how their pages render in Safari without having it open all the time.
Same reason somebody decided to add an IE view. |

Oh, it just opens the page in Safari. I thought it used Webkit or something to render the page inside of Firefox. That would be amazing if it did. |

I use IEview for webdev for rendering tests (along with Firebug). It's also handy for visiting sites in Firefox that use ActiveX controls. |
